About Us

Established by Engineers, Operated by Engineers, Serving Engineers

Since 1997, Paul Clark Services (PCS) has specialised in providing engineering support to the bus and coach industry. Founded by Paul Clark, PCS began as a sole trader operation known as ‘Paul Clark Services’ Flying Fitter Service. Realising the demand was too great for one person, Paul brought in Michael Kerslake as an equal partner, and together they expanded the business.

Initially, the PCS team travelled extensively across the country, taking on various jobs to build their reputation. Their hard work and customer recommendations helped the business grow, leading to its incorporation as a limited company in 2002.

By 2007, PCS had expanded its team of engineers and established a strong network of customers primarily in London, the Midlands, and the South West. This growth allowed Paul and Michael to shift their focus from fieldwork to managing the business.

In 2010, PCS acquired its first premises, facilitating further expansion of their management team and office staff. In 2013, they moved to a new workshop facility in Royal Wootton Bassett, allowing them to bring in more work and thrive in the bus and coach network. With three units at their new location, PCS expanded their workload and improved customer management.

Between 2019 and 2020, PCS gained IMI accreditation, enabling IRTEC Inspection status and investment in high voltage training, adapting to industry advancements.

For over two decades, PCS has aimed to be the go-to company for engineering support in the road transport industry, maintaining high standards since its beginning. Their investment in diagnostic and specialist tools allows trained engineers to perform efficient fault finding and repairs, minimising downtime for their customers. This dedication to advanced technology and high standards is why global leaders like ZF, Eminox, BYD, and Cummins UK choose PCS for supporting their industry-leading products in the UK.

PCS was established to provide top engineering support to the bus and coach industry. Unlike some operators who employ engineers with inadequate PPE and minimal tools, PCS ensures their engineers are well-equipped with clear liveries, exceptional skills, and comprehensive toolkits, guaranteeing reliability, punctuality, and value for money.

Despite having a growing team of over 120 skilled subcontractor engineers across the UK, PCS has never aspired to be a recruitment agency.

PCS is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service and expertise in the engineering support sector, distinguishing itself from recruitment agencies that often dilute professionalism in the field. Read more
